The Genentech GenenCalc tool has three components:
- A dose calculator that computes dosages for pediatric and adult patients taking Genentech growth hormone products
- A growth calculator for pediatric patients that computes the following:
- Body-mass index
- Body surface area
- Ideal body weight
- Height standard deviation and percentile
- Weight standard deviation and percentile
- Growth rate (with standard deviation and percentile)
- A body statistics function for adult patients that provides unit conversion, body-mass index, body surface area, and ideal body weight
This software is intended to assist physicians in prescribing Genentech's growth hormone products. Physicians should exercise their independent professional judgment in making patient-care decisions.
