Reconstitution
Nutropin AQ is a liquid; therefore, this product does not require reconstitution.Nutropin should be reconstituted with Bacteriostatic Water for Injection, USP (benzyl alcohol preserved). The pH of Nutropin after reconstitution is approximately 7.4. After reconstitution, vial contents are stable for 14 days when stored under refrigeration (see below).
Storage
Nutropin AQ vial and cartridge contents are stable for 28 days after initial use when stored at 28°C/3646°F (under refrigeration). Vials and cartridges should not be frozen and should be protected from light.Nutropin and Bacteriostatic Water for Injection, USP (benzyl alcohol preserved), must be stored at 28°C/3646°F (under refrigeration). Vials of Nutropin and diluent should not be frozen. Expiration dates are printed on the labels. After reconstitution, vial contents are stable for 14 days when stored at 28°C/3646°F (under refrigeration).
Administration
All Nutropin products are administered by subcutaneous injection using sterile, disposable syringes and needles; syringes should be of small enough volume that the prescribed dose can be drawn from the vial with reasonable accuracy. The Nutropin AQ Pen 10mg Cartridge is intended for use only with the Nutropin AQ Pen 10. The Nutropin AQ Pen 20mg Cartridge is intended for use only with the Nutropin AQ Pen 20.Injection sites should be rotated with each use of the medication.
